| Haven't wrote for a month! I havent come to my HK office almost a month la! Working in S&M is not easy.Start from 0830, finish at 1900. Much more presure and challenge than before but i consider this is a learning process for myself. I have different people help me, such as GM, DOSM, Le Meridian Cyberport, GSO and travel agents. I hope that issue will sort out soon! When i come back to SZ, i hope they will give me a clear answer. For these few weeks, i think i will mainly stay in HK. I rather stay in SZ because right now i am staying in the hotel, so no need to cook, clean up and laundry as well. And of course the room is so comfort and no one will disturb me. Few weeks before, my boss assign me to do a new thing. ONLINE DISTRUBTION manager, this position is doing all the contact, research and promotion for hotel web site and main contact for online hotel booking web site. Another big challenge for me again. I can do research but i dont know how e-commerce or e marketing works. I hope after the RFP season, i can have a training from Shanghai regional office. | | |
| After 2 months finally i have the opportunity to update my xanga. Cuz my computer cant go to xanga, i dunno its block by the IT ppl or................ Right now i have to tell you guys i am working in Shenzhen same hotel but different place 8 hrs from AUS Anyway, I've already work in Four Points by Sheraton Shenzhen for a month. Working in Sales and Marketing is about paper work, tele marketing and network. Many paper work, a lot of knowledge of the hotel, location and selling skill. After a month, there are 2 ppl resign already cuz of the preasure. After a week of training in HR, for my second week i went to HK with General Manager for HK sales call. To be honest, it is my pleasure to go with GM for my ever first sales call, we have a great talk and meet some people. Of course, luxury trip-- luxury van to HK, in HK Benz--S400 (the booth is not working) and High tea in Four Season and come back with coach only. Anyway i enjoy too much. For the secound week and third week, paper work, site visit tour, familiar tour and preasure. The whole Sales department need to work on Sat at least half a day! That's why no time to see my fds in HK. Sorry!!!!!!!!Last week i dine out with few fds most of them i hvnt met yet. If you guys want to call me, send email. kentonlai@hotmail.com or leave msg here. Right now i am sharing an apartment with a MEXICO guy he is funny. But i am moving out soon because i can't live with those insects. The great thing is i am moving back to hotel next week. I've really love it, i like the decor and everything. I really enjoy the feel to live in a hotel, i get these idea from those movie about NY. Hopefully, i will move in to a suite or a comfort room. | Havent write for million and million years! Right now i am sitting at the Sheraton on the park's Link @ Sheraton. Nice Place to use internet. This time is my first time to use Vista so far so good. Sheraton on The Park is so nice! Elegant and trendy! Just arrive Sydney this Morning, so tired cuz last night finish working, hvnt go to sleep than come to Sydney. I m leaving Australia in June, hope my new position going well la. A bit rush to start but anyway i dont have any time to prepare myself. I am glad that Staff at that hotelhelp me a lot and i am appricate that staff from HR and S&M think i am the right person to suit that position. Anyway, i will try my very best to do that position. It comes a long way, but finally i reach there. Friends from Hong Kong, I will come back in mid June and i am gonna start my new position 5 days later, i will find you guys when i come back, if not i will contact you later. | | |
| During Christmas and New Year this high season period, i worked 16 days straight without a day off! A lot happened to me since i come back to Port Douglas: career, relationship, future and emotion. For career, dunno what to choose! I think i will figure it out later on! And my visa i need to take a look on it also! For relationship, i find that she cheat on me 2 times in 24 hours, i hate ppl cheat on me but i will see as long as it is not a serious thing! For future, no idea wanna travel for at least 2 weeks. For emotion, too much happening around me hope i can figure it out soon! After the high season, i had the chance to dine out with her keep watching 24, 24 such a good drama! | | |
| I am now in port douglas again near cairns! Have a good time in Sydney with parents after graduate!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway so busy to work and i am finally graduate la.........hahaha, no more schooling!!!!!!!!!!! Happy new years and Xmas!
